It's a boy!
We are now at 29 weeks! We found out a few weeks ago that we're having a baby boy! I still haven't been able to get around to posting pictures but one of these days...well, maybe not. School has started up again for us here at EA. Chase is busy getting pre-reqs done for the nursing program and I am only part time since we are due right towards the end of the semester. November is getting closer and closer and I can hardly believe how fast time seems to be going. I don't have much time right now so that will have to be all for now. At the rate I'm going with posting we could have the baby before my next post. I'll try to remember to do an update when we get closer.

The two of us are having a BABY!
Chase and I are now about 17 weeks pregnant and due in November! We had our first ultrasound on the 12th of May (someday I'll put pictures on our blog). At our appointment last Tuesday we got to hear the heartbeat again and this time we hear it loud and clear right away! The first time they had a bit of a hard time finding it. So we were very excited to hear it so clearly. We don't know yet if our baby is a boy or a girl but we should find out at our next ultrasound in a few weeks! Other than being pregnant, Chase and I are in for a busy and exciting summer. Chase will be busy with work and earning his CNA certification. I will be taking classes for medical transcription and working as a CNA part time. We have been very blessed with the opportunities that have come our way and we just can't be thankful enough.

We moved etc, etc, etc...
Since we last posted Chase and I have moved into a new house (still in Thatcher). As of the middle of March we've been living in our "redneck" dream home. It's a little bigger than our last place and it has a small fenced in yard where we are working on planting our first little vegetable garden. Our new landlords don't have a no pets policy, so one of the first things we wanted was a new puppy. We got one the same week we moved in. Riley is a border collie, blue heeler mix about 3 1/2 months old. He has a lot of energy and is still "learning the ropes" of his new home but he's been a fun addition to the family. I have been wanting to post pictures but for some reason haven't been able to find the time. Honestly I have no idea where the camera charger went since it got packed. However, pictures will come... eventually.
Chase has been doing well in school this semester and between his job, school, gardening and helping around the house, he still finds time to be the most fantastic husband I could ever ask for. I am only part time this semester. In March I finished applying for the nursing program at EA and hope to start this fall. We wont find out who's been accepted until the end of the semester, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Best hobo dinners ever
Yesterday Chase and I were able to go out to the new and forbidden land to help Dan move dirt. We ended the day with a fire, games, and some tin foil dinners (made by the our men-folk!) They did such a good job. Mine had chicken that was just burnt enough to add some flavor and make it Delicious! We feasted inside their trailer hence the somewhat crowdedness of the table. We had a blast!

New arrivals
Our first new arrival came on Christmas day. Chase and I have been wanting a pet since we got married so for Christmas he got me my Nutmeg. She is adorable but very active and squirmy, she loves peanuts and running on the wheel in her cage but her favorite thing is when we let her run around the house in her ball. Christmas Cheer
Chase and I were looking for ideas to help us teach our 10 year olds about Christmas. It was getting pretty late when we stumbled upon this families re-enactment of the Nativity. We enjoyed it though, if you're in the mood for some Christmas fun take a minute to watch.

Wilkins Family
Last weekend Chase and I got to go to Showlow and spend a few nights at the Hampton with the rest of Chase's family. We all had a wonderful time bowling, swimming, shopping and just spending time together. It has been their family tradition for a few years, for me (Heather) it was a first and I absolutely loved it. Friday morning aunt Carla came to the hotel to take some family photos. I love being part of this family!!
